This super little recipe was created for us by the lovely people at Of The Earth Superfoods!
Maca Latte – made with their raw Peruvian Maca powder. For those of you who haven’t yet heard of Maca powder, it is made from the root of a plant that grows on the high slopes of the Andes. It has been used for thousands of years and has some amazing properties including boosting energy, endurance and helping to regulate hormones. Added to Tiger Nut Mylk this combination is going to also boost your boost your iron and potassium, help regulate blood sugar and help with digestive issues.
1 1/2 tsp Of The Earth Superfoods Maca Powder
200 ml Bebida de Chufa or any Tiger Nut Mylk
1. In a small pot, heat up 100ml of the mylk and add all the above ingredients. Heat slowly and whisk until well combined.
2. Add the remaining mylk into a glass or cup and foam with your preferred method of foaming. We used a milk frother but you can also use a handheld foamer, cappuchino machine or simply give it a good whiz in a high speed blender. Should you be using a hand frother make sure to heat up the milk beforehand.
3. Now pour your warmed maca milk into the glass and give it a good stir.
