Wow – there has been so much tiger nut love and creativity this week for World Tiger Nut Day!

We were blown away by so many of the amazingly creative recipes posted – you can see them on Instagram using #tigernutday2019. We really loved the dairy free creamy pesto pasta sauce posted by Be Free With Anna on Instagram, and also a brilliant tiger nut bread recipe posted by Fresh Is Real – both of which we will share here later this month.

There really were so many lovely recipes posted to inspire your tiger nut creativity,  I am really looking forward to trying lots of them out at home and we will be sharing them with you here on the blog so you can try them too!  

So on to announcing the winners – we had lots of entries across social media and our first shout out is to the winner of the fantastic hamper of over £100 tiger nut goodies – which goes to Michelle in Co.Wicklow – Congratulations Michelle!

Our next shout out goes to the winner of the recipe competition. This was so hard to judge because there were so many amazing creations to choose from. The tiger nut team debated for ages but at last, after a lot of debate we finally decided on one.  The winning recipe is….drum roll …an Apple Rose Custard tart from Anna at Love A Good Bake on Instagram! We chose this because it is a healthy, grain free, sugar free, dairy free take on an apple and custard tart, and with the most amazing apple roses! Well done Anna! We’ll be posting the full recipe soon.
